Reloaded Productions, the team behind the F2P relaunch of APB: Reloaded, have just initiated a Kickstarter for their new standalone project from the same universe. APB: Vendetta adds a FPS edge to the third-person shooter franchise.
APB: Vendetta wants $300,000 to produce what looks to be an FPS based on parkour movement and some of that nifty dual-wielding gun/sword play. The player will be able to select a character from three archtypes (acrobat, mercenary and juggernaut) with specific playstyles. There will also be 11 characters on launch, all of which have their own unqiue ability.

The video is rather rough around the edges and hardly graceful, but the idea is certainly there. Savvy APB players may even spot our contact friends from the streets and some familiar looking guns.
Reloaded Productions haven’t exactly had the best run on Kickstarter however. Their RPG Hailan Rising, failed to be funded in spectacular style back in November. What APB: Vendetta may have to its advantage though is its grounding within the APB universe, which could give it the kick(start) it needs from the APB community.
APB hasn’t exactly had the most successful past either. The original incarnation from Real Time Worlds closed down only 90 days after its official launch, and appeared, at least, to take the company with it. Since then the game has been purchased and relaunched on the F2P market with a micro-transaction model, where it seems to have successfully stabilised.
